DELTA COMMUNITY ACTION ASSOCIATION is seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:
1. Pre-K Teacher – Duty Station: Rayville, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
Responsible for teaching preschool children’s basic concepts of natural and social studies, science, health, mental health, nutrition, creative art, language, literacy, math, social and emotional development, cognitive, and physical development, music, and play and exploration. Direct and coordinate all activities for assigned classroom. Apply effective teaching practices, rules and procedures to classroom activities and to resolution of related problems.
2. Pre-K Teacher Aide – Duty Station: Rayville, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
Duties incudes assisting the Head Start Pre-K Teacher with the coordination of all classroom activities (routine and other) and working with small groups of preschoolers or individual children in early childhood development.
3. Family Service Worker -Duty Station: Rayville, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
With guidance from the HS Pre-K/EHS Center Supervisor and Content Area Managers, is responsible for all family partnership agreements, parent involvement across all areas of HS, health/health education, nutrition, child development/ education, mental health education, community advocacy, transition practices, home visits and disabilities services (including access to community services and resources).
4. Floater/Janitor – Duty Station: Rayville, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
Duties includes assisting center-based EHS Teachers, as needed, in the coordination and execution of a program of responsive care and learning for infants/toddlers, including those with special needs, over the course of the children’s enrollment in Delta Early Head Start program.
5. Child Specific Aide – Duty Station: Delhi, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
Duties includes assisting Teachers in the supervision and planning/implementing for specific special need child.
6. Maintenance/Bus Driver – Duty Station: Rayville, HS PRE-K/EHS Center.
Responsible for performing regular, ongoing duties designed to promote cleanliness, safety, and efficiency within Head Start facilities in accordance with departmental procedures, methods, and policies. Duties include drive a Head Start bus routes, ensure the safe loading and unloading Pre-K students of buses, check bus at the end of each route to verify that no children remain on the bus, conduct routine maintenance and safety checks of the center vehicle(s), maintain accurate record. Hold and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with proper Louisiana endorsement and meet any physical, mental, and other requirements as necessary to perform job related functions with any necessary reasonable accommodations
